Our ambition

Our association is dedicated to restoring and preserving Transpraia, the stations, and the surrounding environment. We aim to protect the cultural heritage of Costa da Caparica, blending tradition with modern innovation, and ensuring sustainability.

Here's what we do:

• Restoration & Preservation: We focus on restoring Transpraia trains, tracks, stations, and natural surroundings, ensuring they remain a vibrant part of the community.

• Cultural Promotion: Organize events, meetings, and publications that highlight Costa da Caparica’s heritage in arts, surfing, fishing, cooking, and local traditions.

• Community Engagement: Support local businesses and entrepreneurship, and promote film production, craftsmanship, and tech initiatives to foster regional growth.

• Sustainability: Commit to protecting the environment, with special focus on preserving dunes, the local flora and fauna, and supporting sustainable tourism and eco-friendly projects.

• Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Encourage tech initiatives, incubators, and entrepreneurial programs to develop the economy along the Transpraia line.

 

Through these efforts, we aim to make the Transpraia trains a key element of cultural and economic revitalization in Costa da Caparica.
