Welcome to Amigos do Transpraia (AdT) !
Amigos do Transpraia is a non profit association, founded on September 9th 2024, with the mission to restore, preserve and celebrate the cultural heritage of Transpraia.
The goal of the association is to highlight the historical significance of Transpraia and its role in the identity of the community, from Fonte da Telha do Costa da Caparica and all the way to Trafaria. Its main goal is the preservation of this local iconic patrimony and to allow its maintenance and development to serve the community again as a solution of transport between the beaches.
By organizing cultural events, educational initiatives and community-driven projects, the association aims to ensure that this piece of history is cherished for future generations.
Through community involvement, local participation, and through the help of volunteers, donors, partners, events organizers, influencers, the community support is key.
Sustainability is also at the heart of AdT’s mission, ensuring that all activities and developments respect the natural beauty of the region, particularly the local dunes and ecosystem.
Amigos do Transpraia will promote local traditions, crafts, arts, and innovation, supporting initiatives in tourism, culture, and technology that contribute to the economic development of the region. By combining tradition with creative ideas, Transpraia aims to be again a vibrant and engaging part of the local landscape.
